Refund Policy
How refunds work for PitchPool subscriptions — including the initial purchase window, renewals, cancellations, and how to reach us.
Last updated:
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for paid PitchPool subscriptions. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to purchases made through our payment processor, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), acting as merchant of record.
The free tier does not involve payment and is therefore not subject to refunds. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory refund or cancellation rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
2. Subscription Refunds
PitchPool subscriptions give you access to premium features such as additional pools, larger member capacity, and advanced leaderboards and statistics. Because access is granted immediately and continuously throughout each billing period, subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as described in this policy or as required by law.
3. Initial Purchase Refund Window
If you are dissatisfied with your first paid subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial charge, provided the account has not made significant or abusive use of paid features during that period.
This 14-day window applies only to your first purchase of a given plan, not to renewals or subsequent purchases.
4. Renewal Policy
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Renewal charges are non-refundable once processed.
- We recommend cancelling before your renewal date if you do not wish to continue — cancelling stops future renewals.
- As a courtesy, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and you contact us within 7 days of that charge without having materially used paid features in the new period, we will review your request and may issue a refund at our discretion.
5. Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings or the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account moves to the free tier. Cancelling on its own does not generate a refund for the current period — any refund is governed by this policy.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at billing@pitchpool.io — we can usually resolve billing issues quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated. Where a chargeback is found to be unwarranted, we reserve the right to recover the disputed amount and associated fees.
7. Exceptional Cases
We consider refunds outside the standard windows on a case-by-case basis, for example:
- Prolonged service outages that materially prevented you from using paid features.
- Duplicate or clearly erroneous charges.
- Situations where a refund is required by applicable consumer law.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Paddle and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email billing@pitchpool.io from the email address associated with your account and include:
- Your account or organization name.
- The date and amount of the charge.
- The reason for your request.
We aim to respond within a few business days. For general help, you can also reach us at hello@pitchpool.io.
